The HAPPY RUN Race results are out!

After some disappointments from last week’s race, the Happy Run was indeed a HAPPY RUN! Team RB assembled as what was planned though there was some missing. ReVO, Rans, Mark, and Mel were registered for the 15K event. Ward, a first timer registered for the 5K event. Also Bigs, a newbie banana joined the 15K event. Jules and his Sister joined as bandits.

Events organized by Rio was prompt and always in time (as far as the events RB had joined). Far from the usual start (late comer-late runners), we came early enough to do some stretches and warm-ups. A few minutes before the start, 15K RB runners entered the pool. As the gun shot sounded, everyone had set their timers.

It was a runners high, adrenaline rush and full of smiles. Right spots for water stations, road traffic were organized (not like PSE Bull Run), markers, directions, marshals were there and the best of all the spectators! They greet us with smiles and some runners pay them back with a salute.

ReVO, pulled away and had his usual start. Along the way, he ran with Coach Salazar of the Team Bald Runner for quite some time. But Coach Salazar has a faster pace, and the gap got bigger. His plan was to set 5:00 pace to have a total time of 1hr and 15mins. A new PR to be set after having a new PR of 48:30 in the 10K event in PSE Bull Run.

The end report, ReVO finished in 1:14:07 for 15K. Woooohoooo! A new PR! Congratulations to you! You’re 10th place in the age category, 33rd in male category and 37th overall. Wonder when and when will you treat the whole RB Team?

Rans, Mark and Mel had their new PR’s again. Bigs was able to finish the race despite of lacking the training and preparations for 15K. He usually run 5K.

Ward the first timer marked the 5K. 32:28 for a first timer? A good first record!
